8 months

It is so hard to believe that Blake is 8 months old! Where did the time go?! He is really starting to show more of his personality these days making our time with him so much fun.

This is his new move when you try to lay him down! Ha! This may be my new favorite picture of him!

Once he finally relaxed and laid out on the calendar I was shocked to see how big his getting!

At 8 months Blake is able to roll over both ways and has started reaching for people. He has two new top teeth, he has started growling, he scoots backwards and he loves standing. He also loves pears, apples, his toy kitchen, and he has a recent obsession with his blanket. He now hates his changing table, cries when we leave the room, and has started showing different kinds of emotion. He is such a joy to be around and we cannot wait to see what the ninth month brings.

Welcome to Miami

This year for Thanksgiving we headed to Miami to spend the weekend with Heidi and Marshall. With fun family, amazing weather, great food, and beautiful beaches what could go wrong....a 7 month old with a 103 degree fever, that's what. Blake. Was. Miserable. Thankfully Heidi and Marshall were troopers (and deep sleepers) and didn't seem to mind the grumpy tired baby.

As for Thanksgiving, Heidi slaved all day in the kitchen making the perfect turkey, if there is such a thing ;) In all seriousness, Boston Market made a great dinner and freed us up to do other things than cooking all day....

 ...like dancing.
I didn't get many pictures of Blake with Heidi (and actually none with Marshall who he loved!) but the ones I did get are so sweet. I love Heidi's face in some of them! haha!
Even though he slept through most of it, I'm pretty sure this was the best Thanksgiving Blake has ever had!

Because it's been awhile

The weather has been soooo nice here in Florida so Blake and I have spent many days outside "playing". Well he plays and I try to overcome my fear of bugs...and the smell of outside! I think having a boy will be good for me :)

 Look at those teeth!!

Love this little guy :)

Eye of the Tiger

As most of you have already seen Blake was pretty much the cutest tiger ever for Halloween. And what does every tiger need but a set of good looking zookeepers....Enjoy :)

Look at how little he is...

Distracted by the grass!

Zookeeper Tom (our name tags did not last long thanks to Blake!)

Blake and I went trick or treating with his friend Eliza (aka Dorthy) and you would be surprised how much candy I had to turn down. It would obviously have been for me so I didn't feel comfortable! However, I can't wait until he is older so I can rummage through his candy bag and eat it while he is asleep! :)

7 months

A lot has happened in Blake's seventh month of life! So much that I have to warn you this blog post is jam packed with pictures of all of his adventures. So let's start from the beginning shall we....

Blake and I took an impromptu trip to Troy AL one last time before the Hawarah's left us to move to Texas. He loved all the attention he got from his cousins and he was once again a trooper letting me help the Hawarah's pack up their home before the big move.

It was on his trip to Troy (and his 6 month birthday) that Blake got his first tooth...and his second! That would explain ALL the drooling that had been happening for quiet some time now! It is so crazy to see him with teeth and those things have become deadly weapons. I'm not sure what is worse, his fingernails or teeth...

Grandpa came in to town for the Blake's first Bears game. He loved some cuddle time with his grandpa...and as for the football game, well Blake could have cared less!

It was at the football game we noticed Blake had pink eye which the Dr. later informed us was due to his slight ear infection. Poor little guy! We honestly would have never known anything was wrong if it wasn't for his watery goopy eye...such a good kid.

While grandpa was in town Blake was welcomed into the covenant family and was baptized! Again the kid was not phased!

Blake took his first airplane ride to Phoenix, AZ to visit Kay Kay...those stories are for another blog post! All I have to say is traveling alone with an infant, even the chillest baby ever, is exhausting! It was well worth it though because Blake was loving him some Kay Kay! He loved all her pink toys, snuggling with her, and anytime she walked in the room he would get a huge smile and kick his legs in excitement! So sweet!

Wheew....Like I said it was a crazy month! But I couldn't forget to take his monthly pictures on his calendar. At seven months Blake is completely sitting up on his own, grabbing for toys, teething, laughing, smiling, getting pink eye, getting ear infections, blah blah blahing, and just being so stinkin' cute all the time!

Love him...
